Production Planning Administrator

Al-Met is currently seeking a Production Planning Administrator. This role will focus on facilitating production planning activities by providing support to the production team, maintaining system data accuracy and ensuring relevant production documents are available and up to date.

Job duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Provide weekly progress reports to customers and respond to ad-hoc requests
  • Maintain shift patterns, annual leave and absence data on the MRP system
  • Update work orders to reflect routing changes where bottlenecks occur  
  • Gather the data required to measure and report on schedule adherence
  • Liaise with the packing and despatch team to ensure shipments to customers and sub-contractors are correctly processed
  • Ensure sufficient packing materials are available
  • Create production work orders to support fulfilment of customer sales orders
  • Maintain data accuracy within the production schedule
  • Review and provide input to the production plans
  • Liaise with quality team to process work orders when parts are non-conforming
  • Gather production time sheets and log on the MRP system
  • Issue raw materials to WIP and prepare the job card documents for production team
  • Additional duties as required.

Key skills – knowledge, qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in an administrative role in a similar manufacturing environment would be preferable
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Google to analyse data and trend
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills.
