Chesterfield Special Cylinders Inc. appoints naval products specialist to its growing Pittsburgh office

Pittsburgh, PA: – The US operation of leading flask manufacturer, Chesterfield Special Cylinders, (CSC) has appointed naval products expert Brian Mueller BSc as director of US technical sales in its US office.  With 30 years’ hands on, design and leadership experience, Brian Mueller is well known and respected throughout the US defense and industrial gas sectors for his knowledge of specialist high pressure gas containment systems.

Most recently, Mueller worked in the pressure vessel manufacturing business, holding positions in both engineering and sales working as Design Draftsman, Sales Engineer and Senior Product Manager.  

He managed multi-million dollar major accounts both domestically and internationally and specialized in working with detailed design contract specifications, project execution and on-time delivery in a lean manufacturing environment.

Brian Mueller joins the growing team at CSC’s Pittsburgh office, designing, manufacturing, inspecting and testing high pressure gas tubes for trailers and for industrial gas companies, as well as flasks and vessels for the majority of the world’s navies and air forces, including for the USAF’s F-22 Raptors.  

Living in Pittsburgh with his family, Brian has committed over 1,000 hours of certified training across 30 years of service as an officer in his local community Fire Department.

CSC Inc. designs and manufactures bespoke high pressure vessels to ASME standard and can manufactured to US military specifications MIL-F-22606C and MIL-DTL-22606D.  Its customers also include BAe Systems, Babcock, Rolls Royce, MOD, Navantia, DCNS and DSME.

CSC Inc. produces straight and curved bottles and flasks and ancillary products for applications including breathing air, ballast, weapon propulsion, gas storage and nuclear propulsion.
