Employee involvement

It is the policy of the Group to communicate with employees by employee representation on works and staff committees and by regular briefing meetings conducted by senior management. A long-term view of the business is encouraged through the provision of defined contribution pension schemes and SAYE share option schemes for UK based employees. Career development is encouraged through suitable training and annual appraisals. The Group operates a number of formal education programmes extending from apprenticeships through to post-graduate development.

Disabled persons

The Group gives full and fair consideration to applications for employment from disabled persons, where they have the necessary abilities and skills for that position, and wherever possible will retrain employees who become disabled, so that they can continue their employment in another position. The Group engages, promotes, and trains staff on the basis of their capabilities, qualifications and experience, without discrimination, giving all employees an equal opportunity to progress.
