Relevant background & experience
  • Chris is a master’s degree-qualified Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience working in the marine and oil & gas industries, the majority of which has been at a senior management level;
  • He has an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management from Imperial College, London and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (FRINA) and Institute of Marine Engineers, Science & Technology (FIMarEST);
  • Chris has a professional background in engineering design, construction supervision and through-life integrity management for marine and oil & gas operational assets;
  • After a ten-year career with P&O Group, Chris joined Lloyd’s Register Group, where he held a number of senior executive roles in the UK and overseas, including the management of the Group’s global marine and oil & gas certification businesses;
  • Most recently, Chris was Chief Executive and co-owner of oil & gas technology SME, TSC Inspection Systems, where he managed Private Equity and VCT stakeholders and successfully led the business sale to Eddyfi Technologies in May 2017.
External commitments
  • Chris is a Trustee and Council Member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), where he chairs the Technical Committee and is a member of the Operations and Property Committees. The RNLI is the charity that save lives at sea and around the coasts of the UK & Republic of Ireland, founded in 1824.
